A lovely place. Easy to get to with a car park at the top, it's free but donations for the upkeep of the paths etc are requested (pop a few quid in the box at the top of the path near the gate).
We didn't see any marine life but plenty of birds; really the views and the calm of the place were the main attraction. Check the photos, words can't do it justice.
The path down is easy to walk and wide enough for vehicles (which occasionally do use it to get up / down to the harbour). No rugged boots required if the weather is good. Great views from the top and all the way down.
Towards the bottom the path splits, left for the left harbour wall and buildings, right to go through the tunnel and the small beach plus the right harbour wall.
Absolutely stunning area to visit if you're close by. You access the harbour through an archway in the cliff and there's a beautiful sandy beach on the other side. It's a stunning walk and was so peaceful when we visited.
A good walk, nice scenery plus complex geology first noted in the 18th century.
Nice small harbour. Dig can run off. Very rock over harnour wall and there is a tunnel through cliff part way down path from cliff top to give direct access. Path down quite steep if you have mobility issues
A bit out of the way tucked out of sight just a little off the A1 there is a small car park that is shared with the residents so could be a parking problem in the summer. You go through a gate and down a rough road (farm track) to the harbour just before the bottom there is a tunnel that leads to the beach,at low tide you can get to the harbour from the beach but it is a scramble over seaweed covered rocks. The very picturesque scene is all that's there, well worth a visit if you're into quaint harbour views.
Best wee hidden gem ever. So worth a visit. Not suitable if you are in wheelchair as very steep hill. I was exhausted coming back up but loved it. Magical is a good word ✨️
Quiet, peaceful, scenic. Tiny picturesque working fishing harbor. It's a bit of a hike from the road. Tons of history.
A beautiful little hidden charm. A gentle walk down, then ducking through a tunnel, suddenly brings you out right into this stunning place.
I hadn’t planned ahead, or I would have gone for a swim, as several other people were doing.
In the wrong weather I would imagine this place can be pretty bleak, but we were lucky and it was gorgeous.
